During the year 2000, we went our separate ways and took part in other projects outside of the band.  Patrick played guitar in another local band, while Rick moved to Austin, Texas.  But we never gave up on the idea of getting Kadath back together.  We networked and auditioned musicians off and on when opportunities arose.

In the Spring, we purchased a 5-piece Tama drum kit for potential drummers to use during tryouts.  In the Fall, Shawn moved into a home with a basement.  This would later be sound proofed and used for jams, rehearsals and auditions.
